INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY

“Let us remember: One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world.”- Malala Yousafzai

People with no or low literacy skills, who are already face disadvantages in their daily lives, also have limited access to health and preventive information about the corona virus and online learning opportunities to continue their education. The COVID-19 crisis has shed light on the unpreparedness of infrastructure, education systems, programs, and people for ensuring the continuity of teaching and learning in such a situation. So we as Mewar University NSS Unit planned to conduct Literacy awareness Program in nearby area (Vishram Kutti) of University on the occasion of International Literacy Day.

On realizing that illiteracy is one of the major problems around the world and we all should put in intensified efforts towards creating a literate society. Our 40 Volunteer focus on literacy development and overcome challenges to achieve sustainable development. They stressed how small endeavors could make a big difference and so requested each one to take initiative in reducing illiteracy in their own little way. Pro V C Mr. Anand Vardhan Shukla, NSS Coordinator Dr Jyoti Singh Raghav, Mr. Shiv Kumar are presented to make the program a success.
