Teacher’s Day Celebration
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering on behalf of Mewar University celebrated Teacher’s Day with pride and pleasure on 5th September 2017, at Maharana pratap Seminar Hall, Mewar University on the occasion of 129th Birth Anniversary of our second president Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Shri Govind Lal Gadiya , Chairman ,Mewar Education Society was the Chief Guest and Shri R. K. Gadiya, Member Board of Management, Mewar Education Society was the Guest of Honor of the celebrations. Dr.O.P.Gupta (Additional Registrar), Dr.R.K.Paliwal (Dean, Basic Science), Dr. R. C. Tiwari( Dean, Agriculture and forestry), Mr. D. K. Sharma (Dean Academics), Shri H. Widhani (OSD), Shri Harish Gurnnani (Director T & P), Head of Departments, Faculty Members, staff Members and students of various departments were present on the occasion.
Celebration started with Saraswati Vandana and Lamp Lighting and followed by inspirational speech of Dr. R.K. Paliwal. The audience were enlightened by his valuable thoughts, which dwelt on the life and philosophy of Dr. S. Radhakrisnan .
Shri Govind Lal Gadiya, the Chief Guest, motivated and encouraged the staff members and students by his inspirational speech. He told about the importance of a teacher in the life of every student.
The celebration also included some cultural performances by students. Baby Ojaswini Singh Bhati recited a poem. A short documentary on life of Dr. S. Radhakrishanan, was presented by Sanjay Verma, student of B. Tech., CSE. A song was sung by Ms Avandika Thapa, student of B. Sc. Agriculture. Sweety, student of B. Sc. Agriculture, performed a beautiful dance on a classical song. Manas, student of B. Tech., CSE gave the speech. Roselyn and group, students of B. Pharmacy, performed a beautiful dance on Assamese song. The students of CSE department (Koshik & group) also acted a skit which was dedicated to the role of teacher in student’s life. The skit was very entertaining and was enjoyed by the gathering. The last performance was a dance by Dipika Biswas and Mayuri Rajput .
The function was hosted by Salman Padder and Dipika Biswas, students of CSE. Rangoli and other decorations were done by Nikky, Ratchel and other students .
At last the function was concluded by the vote of thanks and the by Dr. O P Gupta and as usual the function ended up with National Anthem.
