On September 15, 2025, The Faculty of Legal Studies, Mewar University, inaugurated its Value Added Course on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for the Academic Year 2025-26.
The ceremony commenced with the inaugural address delivered by Mrs. Geetanjali Sharma, Head of the Department, Faculty of Legal Studies. Mrs. Sharma emphasized the vital role of Intellectual Property Rights in a knowledge-driven economy, underlining how expertise in this area opens opportunities in litigation, corporate practice, academia, and entrepreneurship. She encouraged students to actively participate in discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions, stressing that such engagement would not only deepen their understanding but also prepare them to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving legal landscape.
The key highlight of the Value Added Course is the inclusion of special guest lectures to be delivered by the subject experts, ensuring that students gain practical insights from experienced professionals in the field.
More than 90 students across all the departments of the University have shown their interest in pursuing the course.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Rajesh Bhatt, HoD, Faculty of Management and Commerce, Faculty Members of the Law Department and students.
Mr. Ambuj Misra and Mr. Eshan Singhal will be coordinating the successful completion of the Value Added Course on IPR.
