On September 17, 2024, Mewar University celebrated Vishwakarma Jayanti, a significant day dedicated to honoring Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect and engineer in Hindu mythology, organized by the Mechanical Engineering Department to emphasize the vital role of engineering and craftsmanship in modern education. The event was meticulously coordinated by the department, ensuring that all arrangements were in place for a respectful observance, with active participation from both faculty and students. The celebration commenced with a hawan and prayer ceremony held in the engineering lab, where attendees gathered to invoke blessings for their lab machinery and instruments, essential for their technical studies. Following the prayers, participants made offerings of flowers, fruits, and sweets in homage to Vishwakarma. Dr. Mishra emphasized the importance of respecting the tools that aid in education and commended the Mechanical Engineering Department for organizing such a meaningful celebration that instills values of appreciation and responsibility among students. Dy. Dean Engg. Mr. Kapil Nahar graced the event with his presence during the hawan. Dy.
