A three-day survey camp was organized by Civil Engineering Department, Mewar University near Chittorgarh and Bassi areas on 09/02/2023 to 11/02/2023. B.Tech and Diploma students participated in the survey camp. Students worked in the survey camp using surveyor's Skills and their equipment. Hon'ble Vice CHancellor Prof. (Dr.) Alok Mishra Sir said that the objective of the survey camp for civil engineering students is to promote to them essential knowledge of various surveying techniques relevant to their actual work practice in civil engineering. Along with this, Registrar Prof. R Raja Sir said that the aim of the camp is to encourage leadership and teamwork skills in the students as well as to gain practical knowledge. The survey camp was done under the guidance of Prof. Shashivendra Dulawat, Prof. Anshal Kumar, Prof. Himanshu Kumar Sadhya, and Prof. Abhishek Upadhyay of Civil Department. In which he also showed the students the proper cultivated area, forest area and hilly features with all the topographical details. During this camp, the students used Total Station, Digital Theodolite, Plane Table Survey, Auto Level and Dumpy in different ways. Measurement and reciprocating survey by level was also done. Dr. Esar Ahmed, HOD, Department of Civil Engineering, said that along with fulfilling the requirement of the course, the main objective of the survey camp is to have a better understanding of the actual works and understanding of the site work. Dean Academic Prof. D.K. Sharma Sir, Deputy Registrar Deepti Shastri Ma'am and Dy. Dean Engineering Prof. Kapil Nahar Sir had special cooperation in organizing the survey camp.
