Lok Adalat Awareness Campaign Organized by Mewar University on dated 07 May, 2022.

Faculty of Legal Studies of Mewar University in cooperation with District Legal Service Authority, Chittorgarh organized a campaign in Gangrar Tehsil for awareness of Lok Adalat. Faculties of Law department and students of legal studies and National Service Scheme have participated in that campaign. This campaign passed through the National Highway Gangrar and reached the Tehsil Bhavan where a street play was staged regarding the legal rights of women and their safety among the citizens. During the campaign, citizens were informed about the Lok adalat to be held on 14 may 2022 and its importance and usefulness. Citizens also participated in this campaign very actively. Along with these students visited local court. During this visit students have been informed about all the procedures of courts in which Court Authorities Staff, Police Administration, Taluka Secretary Sh. Sanjeev Verma, Para legal volunteer Sh. Chetan Purohit also helped.

 

This awareness campaign conducted under the direction of Dean, Department of Law Dr. Ajit Singh in which Head of Department Sh. Pushpender Solanki and Assistant Professors Ms. Lavina Chaplot, Mrs. Geetanjali Sharma along with coordinator of NSS Dr. Jyoti Raghav and Program officer Mr. Anubhav Rathod and Md. Zulfikar Ali were also present.

 

During this campaign, students Farheen Masoom, Bhawani, bhavya, Bhargavi Reddy, Priya kumari, Arun kumar, Nihal participated in street play regarding women rights and other students also helped them.
