About the Department
The Department of Mathematics under the Faculty of Science and Technology came into existence in the year 2009. The Department offers B.Sc(General), M.Sc.(Mathematics) and Ph.D. Programme. The department faculties are highly qualified and dedicated. They completed their Doctoral Degree from various renowned institutes in India.

Vision
1. The Department of Mathematics work with the vision that our students are excellent not in the field of science and technology, but also good citizen as well as disciplined also.
2. To create the center of excellence in the field of research in Pure as well as Applied Mathematics.
3. To achieve high standards of excellence in the field of Pure and Applied Mathematics.
4. To trend the students to achieve the skill required for strengthening Mathematics the backbone of all programmes.

4. Create a close interaction between students and faculty, within and outside the classroom which include students counseling and research.
Area of Interest and Strength:
The ongoing teaching and research of the department include a fairly wide spectrum of interest in both mathematics and statistics. Research areas carried out by the members of the department’s faculty are:

· Statistics, and
· Numerical Analysis
Departmental Highlights:
1) The department focuses on instilling scientific and technological outlook amongst the students mostly belonging to this belt of the state and the other part of the country.
2) We are proud of our excellent reputation for in-class and outside-class teaching, research, and student counseling.
3) Various competitions like presentations, Card making competitions, Solo songs, Solo dances, etc. were conducted by the department as a part of extracurricular activities.
4) Charts, project assignments, and presentations are also prepared by the students from time to time.
