The Department of Physiotherapy successfully organized an online lecture on “Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation” on 26 December 2025, aimed at enhancing awareness and professional knowledge among physiotherapy students and healthcare practitioners.
The session was delivered by Dr. Binod Raj Bisht (BPT, MPT–MSK, COMT), Principal, Paramedical Sciences, Motherhood University, who served as the distinguished resource person. Dr. Bisht highlighted the crucial role of physiotherapy in early disability prevention, functional recovery, and long-term rehabilitation. He emphasized the importance of evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, injury prevention strategies, posture correction, and therapeutic exercises in improving patients’ quality of life.
The lecture also focused on the growing relevance of community-based rehabilitation and the adoption of tele-physiotherapy services to extend quality healthcare to underserved and remote populations. Participants actively engaged in discussions and gained valuable insights into modern rehabilitation practices and patient-centered care.
The program was conducted under the guidance and encouragement of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor and the Respected Dean, whose leadership and support played a vital role in the successful organization of the session.
