1. Introduction

An awareness program on Air and Water Pollution was successfully conducted on September 12, 2025, at Mahatma Gandhi School, Bassi, Chittorgarh. The event aimed to educate the public and students about the causes, effects, and solutions to rising pollution levels in air and water sources.

2. Objectives

• To raise awareness about the harmful impacts of air and water pollution.
• To educate participants about sustainable practices to reduce pollution.
• To engage the community in discussions about environmental conservation.
• To promote actionable steps for individuals and institutions.

3. Program Highlights

The event featured a series of informative and engaging activities:

• Rally:
  Dr. Ram Gopal Dhakar, Mr. Pankaj Teli,Mr. Jeevan Singh, Ms. Ritu Sharma,Organizing a Rally with the Students of faculty of Sciences, Mewar University at Mahatma Gandhi Govt. School, Bassi, Chittorgarhon Awareness of Air and Water Pollution.
• Presentation:
  Students Ibrahim Abdul Rashid &Shirin Bano Student of M.Sc. Chemistryand Umer Nazir B.Sc. Chemistry(H) from the Department of Chemistry presented data and case studies on air quality index (AQI) trends and water contamination levels in the local area.
• Quiz:
  Quiz Competition among School Students of Mahatma Gandhi Govt. School, Bassi, ChittorgarhExperts from the Mewar University discussed solutions for pollution management and policy implementation.
• Practical Base Activity:
  Two Experiments done related to “Pesticides used in plants and Negative impacts of Carbon di Oxide” in the nature in front of the students of Mahatma Gandhi Govt. School, Bassi, Chittorgarh, and aware thestudents for the negative impacts.

4. Attendance

The event saw active participation from:

• Over 35 students
• School Students and School teachers
• Faculty members and Students of Mewar University

5. Outcomes

• Increased awareness among attendees about the immediate steps to reduce pollution.
• Strengthened community engagement and youth involvement in environmental initiatives.
• Distribution of eco-friendly kits including reusable bags, water bottles, and informational brochures.

6. Conclusion

The event was a success in spreading awareness and inspiring actionable change. Participants left with a greater understanding of the pollution crisis and a commitment to make eco-friendly choices in their daily lives. The organizers plan to continue such awareness programs quarterly and expand outreach to schools and rural areas.
