The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a guest lecture on "Advanced Manufacturing and Machining Processes" on 22nd February 2025. The event was graced by Dr. Surender Kumar, Assistant Professor at Chandigarh University, as the esteemed guest speaker. The primary objective of the session was to familiarize students with modern manufacturing techniques, including additive manufacturing, non-traditional machining, Industry 4.0 integration, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by Mr. Kapil Nahar, Deputy Dean of Engineering, who highlighted the significance of such knowledge-sharing sessions in bridging the gap between academia and industry. This was followed by an address from Prof. Dr. Alok Misra, Vice Chancellor, who emphasized the importance of automation, digital transformation, and smart manufacturing in the evolving field of engineering.
