The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at Mewar University, in collaboration with Techradiance (Harbour Technology), successfully conducted a two-day workshop on "Hand-Gesture Robotics" on 10th-11th March 2025. This workshop aimed to equip students with practical exposure to gesture-controlled robotics, covering fundamental and advanced topics such as sensor integration, programming, wireless communication, and real-time robotic applications.
A total of 54 students actively participated, engaging in interactive sessions and hands-on training under the guidance of experts from Techradiance. The students demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and technical acumen, applying their knowledge to design and develop functional robotic systems. After rigorous assessment and evaluation, 22 outstanding students were selected for the final round at IIT Delhi, scheduled for 29th-30th March 2025, marking a significant achievement for Mewar University.
The event concluded with a valedictory session, graced by the esteemed presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Alok Misra and Dy. Dean (Engineering) Mr. Kapil Nahar, who emphasized the importance of robotics, interdisciplinary learning, and technological advancements in shaping the future of engineering. Their insightful words motivated students to further explore and innovate in this dynamic field.
