Educational Visit to Jodhpur Fort & High Court

The Faculty of Legal Studies, Mewar University, organized an enriching educational trip for 50 students to Jodhpur Fort and Jodhpur High Court on February 24-25, 2025. The visit was led by the esteemed Head of Department, Mrs. Geetanjali Sharma, accompanied by Assistant Professors Mrs. Sugam Tenvar, Mr. Pradyumn Sharma, Mr. Sankalp Pandey, and Mr. Shoeb Khan.

Day 1: Exploring Jodhpur Fort – A Journey Through History

On February 24, 2025, students and faculty explored the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur, where they experienced the rich history of Rajasthan’s rulers. The visit provided valuable insights into the architectural grandeur, historical artifacts, and the legacy of the Rathore dynasty. The students enjoyed the fort tour, gaining a deeper appreciation for India’s heritage.

Day 2: Educational Visit to Jodhpur High Court

On February 25, 2025, the delegation visited the Jodhpur High Court, where they received a warm welcome from Administrative Officer Mr. Bhati. He briefed the students on the decorum and discipline required in court. The students then observed live court proceedings, including civil, criminal, and service matters, providing them with practical exposure to the legal system.

Following this, the students visited the High Court Museum, where they explored historical legal artifacts. They also toured the High Court Library, where Librarian Ms. Sangita Paliwal explained the significance of legal books and journals in research and practice.

A special highlight of the visit was a meeting with Hon’ble Justice Farzand Ali, who warmly welcomed the students and faculty. He interacted with them, encouraging them to work hard and excel in their legal studies. Hon’ble Justice Farzand Ali also advised them to meet Government Advocate and Additional Advocate General Mr. Neeraj Kumar Gurjar, who further inspired the students to stay dedicated to their career goals.

Additionally, the students visited the Bail Section, where Additional Administrative Officer Mr. Yashwant Kumar Rakecha explained bail and parole proceedings in detail. The visit was interactive, with BALLB 10th Semester students raising queries about Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) and BALLB 4th Semester student Marhaba Faruq engaging in discussions on legal matters.

Throughout the visit, students maintained professional conduct, wearing proper uniforms and upholding the decorum of the court.

Conclusion: A Successful & Enriching Experience

The educational trip to Jodhpur was a grand success, providing students with historical insights and practical legal exposure. The Faculty of Legal Studies extends gratitude to all dignitaries, court officials, and faculty members who made this visit a valuable learning experience.

This trip not only enhanced students’ academic knowledge but also motivated them to pursue excellence in the legal field.
