Faculty of legal studies organized a program in lieu of Gandhi and shastri Jayanti on 1october,2022. The chief guest and guest of honour of this program were Mr. Anand Vardhan Shukla Pro V.C Mewar university and Professor (Dr.) Chitralekha Singh Dean of fine arts. The program was started with Saraswati Vandana and Kulgeet after that Assistant Professor of law department Ms. Supriya Chaudhary welcomed the guests by giving a welcome address. The program was hosted by student of BB.A LL.B Ms. Minlem Konyak. In the program, students of the Law Department gave a dramatic presentation on the life of Gandhiji. Akshita and Nandini presented a patriotic group dance. International student Samantha, Warren S. P. and Ibrat Jahan recited a poem based on Gandhiji. Gandhiji was a symbol of truth, non-violence, harmony and self-reliance. The above things were said by Vice Chancellor Anand Vardhan Shukla in a program organized on the eve of Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti at Mewar University. He further said that Gandhi attacked the ideology of the British. He was in fact the leader of the untouchables. Remembering Lal Bahadur Shastri, he said that Lal Bahadur Shastri, who gave the slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, managed the country in difficult times and maintained the country's honor. Referring to many unprecedented reforms, he said that it was Shastri ji for the first time in many revolutionary initiatives including Anti-Corruption Department, National Dairy Board. Recalling the contributions of Gandhi and Shastri, Director of Gandhi Museum, Mewar University, Prof. (Dr.) Chitralekha Singh said that the purpose behind celebrating the birth anniversary of any great man is to imbibe the greatest things of his life. The Chancellor of Mewar University, Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sarvottam dixit, extended their warm wishes for the successful program through online medium. On this occasion Director Academics D.K. Sharma, Director Training and Placement Harish Gurnani, Deputy Registrar Deepti Shastri, Dean Engineering Dr. A. R. Raja, Assistant Director of Gandhi Shodhpeeth, Dr. Sumit Kumar Pandey, Dr. Neelu Jain, Vandana Chundawat, Dr. Ganga Biswa, Nirma Sharma, Geetanjali Sharma, Supriya Chaudhary, Iba Suchiang, Roshni Kasudhan, Anjali Tripathi and other faculties and students of the university were present. The program was ended with the speech of vote of thanks by Head of Department of law Ms. Lavina Chaplot.
