A webinar on 12(B) Awareness was conducted by Research Ethical Committee, Mewar University on 23rd June, 2022 (Thursday) at Mewar University Campus. This programme was organized for the Faculty members of the University. The keynote speaker for the webinar was Professor (Dr.) Satyadeo Poddar, Vice Chancellor, Maharaja Bir Bikram University, Agartala, Tripura, India.
In his presentation he briefed us about the benefits of 12B status. He informed that with 12B Status, thereafter we can apply for various National and International funding. UGC provides financial assistance to only those Universities/Colleges which are included in the list maintained by the UGC under Section 12 B of the UGC Act, 1956.
He also informed that financial assistance will be provided to only those Universities/Colleges which have been included under Section 2(f) and have been declared eligible to receive central assistance under Section 12B of the UGC Act, 1956 and fulfill the eligibility conditions. One can get the assistance for Development of Undergraduate Education, Postgraduate Education, Books & Journals, Equipment, Improvement of existing premises, Educational Innovation, Extension Activities
Dr. Jyoti Singh Raghav enlightened about the programme and gave a brief overview on the topic, speaker and the participants. The welcome address was given by Prof. (Dr.) Sarvottam Dixit, Pro Vice Chancellor and Chairman (REC), Mewar University.
The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Gulzar Ahmed.
