BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – CPR WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS
Statistics indicates that 70% to 80% of cardiac arrest cases occur either in the home or at public places. In such cases, the person nearest at hand to the victim is often a bystander with no medical expertise such as relative, an office colleague, or a passerby. If those present at the scene are able to provide CPR to the victim promptly, the latter’s chances of survival are significantly increased.
On 29th Oct’ 2018 dept. of Physiotherapy has organized a BLS workshop under the supervision of Dr. Sandeep Vaishnav (MPT,Neuro). The instructor was Dr. Jatin Maheshwari PT ( Corps officer S.J.A.B & IRSC ). In this workshop more than 250 national as well international students and Faculties learned about the CPR and how to save life of casualty during an emergency.
