Padma Shri Professor Deepak B. Phatak of Computer Science & Engineering Dept. IIT-B, visited our campus.
On 17th of September, 2017, Professor Deepak B. Phatak has visited Mewar University and also addressed the Local and National participant of the Two-Week AICTE approved Faculty Development Programme on''Pedagogy for Online and Blended Teaching-Learning Process” organised by the Department of Electrical Engineering of Mewar University, in association with IIT- Bombay under NMEICT. In his interaction he discussed about the advantage of collaborative learning, he recommended that people should work together by which learning can be improved by ten times, further this exercise can also be extended for teacher-teacher collaboration and research scholar’s community for bringing out the quality education. Dr. Phatak believes that there is no shortcut to success and teaching can't be just a profession, but has to be one's 'Dharma'. His dream is to see a resurgent India catching up with the world, using Information Technology as the springboard.
During his visit he had an interaction with officials of University, and taken a short walk through various departments and laboratories. At the time of leave-taking he congratulated about the exquisite efforts made by such a remotely located University in the field of imparting knowledge and education.
