Scientific computing, an interdisciplinary field has emerged as a powerful and indispensable approach to solve and analyze a variety of complicated problems in real world: research, product and process development, and manufacturing. This branch serves as the foundation of the third pillar of science: Simulation - augmenting theory and experiment. In practice, scientific computing hinges on numerical methods implemented with computer algorithms for the solution of various scientific and real world problems.
A lot of cutting edge research in science and technology today is heavily dependent on computations and simulation to predict, guide as well as plan an experiments, develop early stage drug candidates, completely auto pilot systems, optimize energy sources to best conserve non-renewable sources of energy. Thus this domain not only has an impact on the current academic world, but is extensively used in Industry (such as Pharma, Space, Avionic, Energy to name a few) at various level.
The present seminar is aimed at giving the glimpse of the fascinating domain of Scientific Computing by the eminent expertise from the leading teaching and research institutes in the country.
