6th NAND LAL GADIYA MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT ORGANIZED AT MEWAR UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

Every year the memorial tournament has been organized in the memory of Late Shree Nand Lal Ji Gadiya, father of Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya, Chairman, Mewar University. Following the tradition this year the tournament was organized on 27th Feb 2017, at Mewar University campus.

The event started with lighting of lamp before Goddess Saraswati and with paying tribute to Pujya Babuji, Late Shree Nand Lal Ji Gadiya. On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Prof.R.K.Paliwal, Dean, Faculty of Basic Sciences, addressed the students and participants and stated that games and sports are an integral part of student life. In games one comes in contact with different students and establishes new friendship and learns the habit of losing and winning. 

Vote of thanks was given by Prof. R.C.Tiwari, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry. He called upon the students to participate at least in one of the games as it keeps them healthy, smart and active. A healthy mind lives in healthy body.

Matches of Cricket and Basketball were played between the teams of Mewar University and Mewar Institute, Gaziyabad. Both the matches were won by the teams of Mewar University. Closing ceremony was held at 4pm where the chief guest of the occasion Shree Govind Lal JI Gadiya , Secretary, MES, distributed prizes and praised the efforts of all the players.
