The Department of Chemistry, Mewar University celebrated Chhtrapati Shivaji Jayanti on 18 February 2017 with traditional hilarity and pageantry at Seminar Hall in the University campus.
Chairman,Dr.Ashok Kumar Gadiya lighted the lamp, garlanded the image of Chhtrapati Sivaji and gave a motivational speech on Chhtrapatti Shivaji’s life to encourage the audience to imbibe the principles Shivaji stood for. Dean,Basic Sciences Dr.R.K.Paliwal also intimated the students about various acts of Shivaji’s bravery.
The program was coordinated by Dr.Ajit Joshi. The celebration included cultural performances by students.Piyush (B.Sc.,Chemistry) and Simran (B.Sc.Chemistry) anchored the program. Ms. Komal and Michael (M.Sc., Chemistry) delivered a speech on the life of Veer Shivaji.Mr.Gopal ,Nirma (M.Sc., Chemistry) and Libi,Shikha,Sumitra and Ritu (M.Sc.,Chemistry) presented their melodious singing
performances.Mayank,Shelendar,Kaushik,Kosha Krishna,Vaibhav,Ashish,Amit,Pradeep,Deepesh(Students of B.Sc.,B.Tech and Diploma) staged a skit to honor Veer Shivaji.Seema,Piyush and Naveksha perfomed dance. The celebration ended with the singing of National Anthem.
