Mewar University celebrated the 68th Republic Day with patriotic vehemence. Chief Guest for the occasion Shri Govind Lal Ji Gadiya (Secretary, MES & Member, BOM) unfurled the national flag at the Mewar University Campus, Chittorgarh. Shri Govind Lal Ji Gadiya along with Prof. (Dr.) T. N. Mathur (Pro Vice–Chancelor, Mewar University) also took the salute from the platoon march past organized by Shri Krishna Bahadur Bam and conducted by the security guards of Mewar University. He also addressed the audience reprising the past valour of the national heroes and appealing the students in the campus to take it forward from where they left.
Chief Guest Shri Govind Lal Ji Gadiya accompanied with Shri Radha Krishna Ji Gadiya (Member, BOM), various faculty deans and academic heads, faculty members and students enjoyed the cultural programmes by university students. The programmes were anchored by Mr.Rajdeep Rathore [(Course: B.Tech EE) VI Semester] and Mr. Piyush[ (Course: B.Sc.Chemistry) IVSemester]. Noteworthy programmes included patriotic songwritten and sung by Shri Gopalji. Audiences at the function also witnessed a mesmerising poetry performance by Mr. Rajdeep Rathore [(Course: B.Tech EE)VI Semester]. The programme concluded on a sweet note with sweet distribution for students and high tea organized for faculties.

Celebrations for 68th Republic Day at Mewar University crossed boundary. A team of Mewar University Group Dancer gave a spectacular dance performance at the heart of Chittorgarh in Indira Gandhi Stadium. Chief Guest for the occasion Shri Shri Chand Kriplani, Minister of Urban Development and Housing unfurled the national flag. Audiences at the district level function witnessed a mesmerising dance performance by the North Eastern students on the song ‘ Des Rangeela’ choreographed by Mr. Varun [(Course: B.Tech CS) VI Semester].
