8th Faculty Development Programme of Mewar University

From developing strategies that enrich student learning to fostering a campus culture that values innovative teaching and learning, quality faculty development is the cornerstone to educational excellence.Faculty is the heart and soul of any university. They are a key lifeline both to provide valuable skills and to promote intellectual stimulation to the students. The concept of faculty development has long been an integral part of higher education’s strategy for gaining new knowledge, self renewal and increased vitality. Falling in line with the above, Mewar University, Chittorgarh also concluded its 8th Faculty Development Program FDP 2016-17 at the University Campus in Gangrar from 9th to 12th January 2017. The FDP is an annual feature at the University..

The FDP 2016-17 witnessed a gathering of over 150 faculty members of the University along with key officials of the University including Dr.Sh. Ashok Kumar Gadiya, Chairperson, Prof.(Dr.) V.N.R.Pillai, President, Sh. T.N.Mathur, Pro-President,Sh.H.S.Sharma,Pro-President among others. The faculty members who had recently joined the University including those recruited from premier institutions gave their presentations.  The faculty members of the University got to listen to the vision and expectations of the Chairperson Sh. Ashok Kumar Gadiya first hand. They also got a roadmap to translate the University Policy statement of – “Best Teaching & Learning, Best Training, Best Counselling,  Best Placement and Best Research” into reality.

The FDP program turned out to be a platform for faculty members to come across different teaching methodologies and other teaching skills. New members of Mewar family got to know about the environment, examination system, teaching methods and counseling system of the university. The four day program ended with a lunch hosted by Hon’ble Chairperson.
