Mewar University celebrated Swami Vivekananda’s 154th birth anniversary with full vigor in the Seminar hall of the University. The lamp was lighted in front of “Maa Saraswati”, and then the portrait of Swami Vivekananda was garlanded by all the University dignitaries. Prof. R .K. Paliwal, Dean, Basic Sciences, said in his speech by giving examples from the life history of swami ji that the principles of Swami Vivekananda should be followed for universal peace and religious tolerance.
The ideal way to remember or honor a saint is by understanding his/her teachings. Swami Vivekananda has given his valuable thoughts on several topics. A power point presentation was shown on the occasion depicting Swami ji’s contribution to the evolution of modern India.
On the auspicious occasion Dr.Sh. Ashok Kumar Gadiya, Chairperson, expressed his deep gratitude in the teachings of swami Vivekananda by reading one of the sermons of swami ji. The gathering at the celebration was exhorted to follow the clarion call given to the youth of our nation by Swami Vivekananda in these words: “Arise, awake, and stop not until your goal is achieved.”
