On the eve of Law Day, Department of Law, Mewar University organized “Free Legal Aid & Literacy Camp” at Subhash Chowk, Chhittorgarh to provide legal assistance & guidance on various legal issues of people. Programs at camp commenced with the inauguration by presiding chief guest Shri Shivnarayan Jat, Presedent of District Bar Association, Chittorgarh.
In the camp legal consultancy & guidance on matrimonial disputes, civil matters, family matters, child issues, accidental cases, & other criminal matters was given to the general public. President of Bar Association Chhittaurgarh and Chief Guest of the event, praised the initiatives taken by Mewar University & emphasized over need for such camps in future. He said legal awareness & education is essential for society so that people should be aware of their legal rights. On behalf of Bar Association, Chittorgarh, addressing the audiences at camp Shri Shivnarayan Jat said that Bar Association, Chittorgarh will assist & render all necessary help if such programes will be organized in future.
Mrs . Bharti Gehlot representative of District Legal Services Authorities, who was also present in the camp expressed her concerns on rights of woman & guided the audiences by giving information on awareness of women rights, domestic violence, maternity, female feticide & free legal aid to women.
Students of Mewar University performed skit play & delivered speech on woman empowerment to make awareness & educate the people which attracted the gathering towards the camp. In the camp several stalls were demonstrated under four heads to facilitate & give free consultancy to the people.

Vidhani, OSD ,Mewar University; Miss Asha Rani Rawat, Head Law Department; Dr. Ravinder Kumar ,Head Department of Pshchology; Mr. Manoj Kumar Yadav, Assistant Professor; Mr. Vinod Kumar, Assistant Professor (Law); Mr. Amit Kumar, Assistant Professor (Law); Mr Deepak Sharma, Assistant Professor (Law); & Miss Soniya Thakur, Assistant Professor (Law) were present in the camp & expressed their views on the occasion & gave consultancy on various legal issues to the general public.
