Mewar University delegation being Invited for attending the 82nd Annual Meeting of Indian Academy of Sciences
Mewar University's delegation of 8 person had been invited to attend the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Indian Academy of Sciences which this year is jointly organized by the Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), Bengaluru & Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal.The Indian Academy of Sciences, as envisioned by its founder- Sir C V Raman, is established in devotion to promote and uphold the cause of science through diverse activities that aim to recognise and reward scientific efforts and talents.
The Delegation consisted of Dr Gulzar Ahmad (HOD Physics), Shri. V. Siva (HOD EE), Dr. Prakash Choudhary (Assistant Professor Chemistry), Ms. Vandana (HOD Mathematics), Directors Dr. Ravikant and Dr. Naresh Kumar and Dy. Registrar Research Shri Samer Khan. The University's Delegation comprising of diverse field of expertise got an opportunity to discuss about the work in Scientific Research happening at Mewar University with pioneers of the Scientific Community like Prof. CNR Rao (Bharat Ratna), Prof. V. K. Singh (Director IISER Bhopal) and Jal Purush Rajendra Singh.
The on-going two and a half days’ deliberation will see the participation of many Fellows and Associates of the Academy and invited teachers from different parts of the country who will engage in active scientific discussions. The deliberations also include one memorial lecture in the memories of Nobel Laureate Prof. Walter Kohn, and the other celebrating the achievements of biological sciences.
Prof. V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai (Vice Chancellor Mewar University) who is also a fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc) feels it is a great privilege for Mewar University & its delegation to not only represent itself but also learn from the most renowned gathering of eminent scientific experts of the Nation.
