70th Independence Day Celebration at Mewar University

The Independence day was celebrated in Mewar University with great zeal and enthusiasm. The chief guest for the occasion was Shri Govind Ji Gadiya (Secretary, MES) and Guest of honor was Shri Sunil Ji Gadiya( Management Representative).

The chief guest and guest of honor were welcomed by Mr. D. K. Sharma (Deputy Dean, Mewar University). Then Security officers gave the guard of honor which was followed by an inspection of Platoon by the chief guest. Then the flag hosting ceremony took place. The chief guest hosted the flag. Everybody gave tribute to our national heroes who had sacrificed their lives for our independence by saluting the national tricolor along with the national anthem. Then march-past was done by the university security officers. The timing and synchronization was at its best.

After that our chief guest addressed with a short speech on Independence Day, as we all know that every year since 1947, 15th August is a memorable day for all of us. He emphasized that we all should enhance our skills and uses our knowledge to start new constitution and become a job provider not just a job seeker. His main idea was that entrepreneurship should be given equal importance.

After that cultural program was started, with some shayari from Dipika Biswas and Mahesh (student B.Tech. (CSE) III yr). On this occasion young students from our university made the day memorable by giving a great performance on patriotic songs, dances and speech.  The program started with a song (Kar Chale Fida ….Md. Raffi) by Sahil Singh (student B.Tech. (ECE) III yr. It was followed by a group dance “Vande Mataram….” by Pushpa and group (student Diploma (CSE) II yr). Next was a speech  given by Prem Chand (student B.Tech. (CSE) III yr) which. The last program was another dance by Niranjan (Student Diploma (CSE) III yr). After that the chief guest distributed sweets to the students and step towards “Swachh Bharat Mission” organized in Gangrar.
