Chittorgarh: The national level conference FABCP-2016 was organized on 04th March 2016 at Mewar University with the support of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The conference was a grand success with 10 invited talks, 15 oral presentations, 127 posters and an audience of around 500 people. The conference highlighted recent innovations and new techniques in science and technology research. The Departments of Forestry, Agriculture, Biotechnology, BMLT, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Sciences of Mewar University, and senior researchers from various institutions all over India came on one platform and contributed to this spectacular success of FABCP-2016.
The chief guest of the conference, V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai, former Chairman of UGC and former VC of IGNOU graced the occasion with his enlightening talk on interdisciplinary research. The guest of honor was Shri Jayant Sahasrabuddhe, Organizing Secretary of Vijnana Bharati, who has put in untiring efforts in Vijnana Bharati and got it included in the Guinness Book of World Records. The plenary speaker of the conference Prof. Dr. Anamik Shah, Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Vidyapeeth, shared his insights on education, nation building and the use of chemistry in different fields.
Mewar University’s Chairperson, Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya, graced the conference as its Chief Patron. The Convener and Co-convener pointed out how the conference is first-of-its-kind in Chittorgarh and expressed hope that there will be many such events in the future, leading to dissemination of the knowledge of science and technology in the Mewar region.
