CUET 2024 Eligibility

AGE LIMIT(CUET PG 2024 )
For appearing in the CUET (PG) 2024, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the bachelor degree/equivalent examination or appearing in 2024 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (PG) 2024
examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria of the University in which they are desirous of taking admission.

Note:

  • For admission in Universities through CUET (PG)-2024, the existing policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences etc. of the respective University shall be applicable.
  • As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidatesare advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs.
  • Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the eligibility criteria laid down by the University they are applying to.
  • Mere appearance in the Entrance Test or securing pass marks at the test does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission to the Programme unless he/she fulfils the Programme wise eligibility conditions of the University they are applying to.
     

Admission to undergraduate programs at Central Universities and other CUET 2024 participating colleges requires passing the CUET (Common University Entrance Test). In the upcoming academic year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer CUET (formerly known as CUET) online for the first time. But in the upcoming years, the test will be offered twice yearly to help students raise their grade point averages.

The official notification and eligibility requirements for CUET 2024 have been published by the National Testing Agency. The minimum requirements established by CUET 2024 must be met by applicants to be considered for various undergraduate and graduate programs.Candidates should be advised that depending on the institutions and courses, the CUET eligibility requirements may change. In the later phases, any candidate who does not meet the eligibility requirements may be at risk of being eliminated.

Cuet 2024 Eligibility: Candidates should have passed Class 12th or any equivalent examination appearing in 2024 can apply for the examination. Also, there is no age limit to appear for CUET Exam 2024.

CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate program

The eligibility requirements for CUET 2024 have also been made public by NTA along with the admission notification. In order to get a sense of what will be required for CUET 2024, let's look at the eligibility requirements from past years.

• For the general category, candidates must receive at least 50% of the possible points, and for SC/ST candidates, 45%.
• Depending on the course they choose, candidates should have taken certain subjects in their +2 year.
• The nationality of candidates participating in CUET must be of Indian Nationality.
• Applicants should submit three applications to Participating Institutions with three options for the CUET-selected programs.
• When taking the 12thqualifying exam, candidates can apply for CUET. At the time of counselling, they would need to present the passing certificate, nevertheless.
• The eligibility criteria for CUET 2024may vary depending on the courses and colleges students choose. Therefore, applicants need to check the institutions' official websites before making a choice.
• Applicants will not be eligible to apply for CUET 2024 if they failed one or more 12th-grade subjects.
• Even if a candidate succeeds on the entrance exam, admittance to the program is not guaranteed unless the candidate satisfies the requirements of the university to which they are applying.

CUET 2024: Maximum Age

There is no maximum age to take the CUET 2024. Nonetheless, students must meet the educational requirements to be eligible for the CUET 2024 exam.

CUET 2024 Nationality

To qualify for the CUET 2024 exam, students must fulfil a few requirements:

• All applicants must be an Indian.
• Bhutan is a component country of Nepal.
• A Tibetan refugee who entered India before to January 1, 1962, intending to settle there permanently.
• Those who moved permanently to India from Vietnam, Pakistanis, Burmese, Sri Lankans, Kenyans, Ugandans, Tanzanians, Zambians, Malawians, Zaireans, and Ethiopians.

The number of attempts for CUET 2024

The candidate may take the exam as long as they meet the educational criteria, nationality requirements, and other CUET 2024 conditions. There is no limit on how many times you can take the CUET. To take the CUET, candidates must comply with the eligibility conditions.

Qualifications for CUET: Important Points

• The criteria for CUET eligibility are set by each of the participating universities.
• Admissions will likely be determined only by CUET and Class 12 board test results.
• The eligibility requirements don't include an upper age limit. However, the NTA may establish maximum and minimum age restrictions for the programs once it publishes eligibility conditions.

Requirements for CUET Eligibility: Reservation

Since the CUET is a test for admissions to undergraduate programs at Central Universities established by an Act of Parliament, each Central University must go by the guidelines provided by the Government of India. Academic Eligibility qualification for CUET 2024

Undergraduate

For general category candidates, the student must have received at least 50% on their grade in the 12th grade, and for SC/ST students, 45%.

Post Graduate

The student's graduation degree grade must have been at least 55% in the general category and 50% in the SC/ST/OBC/PWD category. There are various areas where the cutoff is different for OBC candidate students.

Doctorate
