The University offers scholarships to deserving and meritorious students enrolling for Graduate programmes. The criteria for scholarships are as follows:
MU Scholarships: 75% tuition fee exemption to a student (1st Topper) Securing more than 90% marks in 10+2. This Will apply for subsequent examination on an yearly basis. Students securing second and third position in merit of the above criteria shall be awarded exemption of 50% and 25% in tuition fees respectively. In all 3 (three) students from each faculty shall be eligible for award of scholarship / incentive every year.
Meritorious student Scholarships: Students securing 85% and above in (10+2) are exempted from paying 25% of their tuition fee.
A chair has been instituted in each department. The topper of each department is reimbursed tuition fees for one full year by the respective chair. The first such chair has been instituted in the department of Engineering & Technology in the name of Nand Lal Gadiya, respected father of the hon’ble Chancellor.
Special Scholarship for Economically weaker Students:General Students Whose parents are economically weaker and having income less than 1 lac per year and having 75% or more marks are eligible for 50% scholarship in tuition fees.
Extra-curricular Excellence Scholarships:One student from each department, adjudged for excellence in extra-curricular activities like sports, oratory, presentation, cultural activity etc., will be reimbursed 50% of the tuition fee.
Applications invited from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya students
Mewar University, in a first of its kind initiative, invites applications from the students of Navodyaya Vidyalays, who have passed the 10+2 Examination, for education in any of the chosen disciplines offered by the University. Mewar University will be selecting the Meritorious applicants (based on the Marks scored in the +2 Exam for the forthcoming Academic Session 2016-17. Reservation for Rural, SC, ST and Girl Students of JNV
Like Jawahar Navodyaya Vidyalaya, Mewar University also focuses primarily on students from the rural areas, with provisions of 75% seats for rural children. Seats are also reserved for students from the SC and ST communities in proportion to the national average. 1/3 of the seats are reserved for girl students. 3% of the seats are reserved for disabled students.

Government of India Scholarships
Scholarship Schemes of Central and State governments for SC/ST/ OBC / Minority/ J&K/ Northeast Students are applicable as per the criteria fixed by the respective government.
·If a student is getting scholarship or incentive from Government & Other source of sponsored schemes like scholarship for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority / J&K / AICTE/ etc…., S / he shall not be eligible for the MU meritorious scholarship or incentive.
