Mewar University started the department of Mechanical Engineering with well equipped laboratories and with high quality machines and equipments. University has established the department keeping in mind that with the development of industrializations in nearby plants and industries around Chittorgarh and Udaipur divisions the scope of Diploma and Degree Engineers in this field become highly demandable and as the job opportunity in these branches become more and easily available.
The broad vision of the Hon’ble Chairman to educate the poor of the poorest with the concept Reach to Unreached in the communities and distinct areas which is badly lacking not only in these divisions but in the whole country as well. The University approaches different training centres, viz., Advanced Training Institute (Kharagpur and Ludhiana), Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology (CIPET), MSME Tool Room etc. for industrial internship of the students. These places have high class training facilities with well experienced trainers.
In future, department will continuously raise the level of quality education and, while strengthening its collaboration with industry and other academic institutions. The department has visiting faculties from various IIT’s and NIT’s also.
