Chittorgarh:The students and staff of Mewar University paid rich tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his 153rd birth anniversary at Maharana Pratap Seminar Hall in Mewar University. Several programs were organized by students, reflecting the highpoints of the glorious life of Swami Vivekananda.
The program started with Dr. R. K. Paliwal Dean, Basic Sciences, paying floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda. Dr. Paliwal reminded students of the noble goals Swami ji had put before the youth of our country when it was not even an independent nation. Dr Paliwal urged the students to follow the principles of humanity and universal brotherhood as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.
In 1984, the government of India declared that every year January 12 will be observed as National Youth Day to spread Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy and motivate the youth.
The students enthusiastically participated in the celebration, presenting various programs centering on the life and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda.
