NCETMAAE-2016

National Conference on Emerging Trends in Mathematics and its Applications in Engineering (NCETMAAE-2016)

8th-9th  January, 2016

Mathematics is regarded as the core part of engineering curriculum across the world. Several Engineering problems find their solution through Mathematics. To take account of these initiatives, a National conference Emerging Trends in Mathematics and its applications in Engineering was organized at Mewar university by the Dept. of Mathematics. The conference was being held on the backdrop of recent trends in the field of Mathematics and its applications in Engineering field and provided a platform for the  research scholars and academicians to present their respective research works and innovative approaches .The “NCETMAAE-2016” witnessed active participation by mathematics educators, mathematicians,  research scholars and students and included invited talks by keynote speakers on diverse aspects of Mathematics from elementary to the tertiary levels.

The opening ceremony was held at the Maharana Pratap seminar hall of the Mewar University which was tastefully decorated creating a zealous atmosphere of the scholarly conference. The eminent personalities, scientists and the educationists opened the conference by lighting the lamp as a offering to Mother Saraswati followed by Sarawati Vandana. The guests were felicitated   through the authority of the University in the mewar’s traditional way by presenting them bouquet, pagadi, momento and shawl.

Dr. R. K. Paliwal, Dean, Basic Sciences welcomed the guests on behalf of the Department of Mathematics, Mewar University and announced the official opening of the conference. Dr. Ravi Kant, convener of the conference, gave the introduction of the conference. He said “This is the platform where we can share your findings and the exceptional work that we doing with the scientific community”. He also emphasized that the recent years have witness an awareness of Applications of Mathematics which provide the new origins and developments in the field of Basic Sciences and Engineering.

Thereafter, Lone Faisal, student of electrical and electronics engineering gave an  introduction of the Chief Guest, Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh Joint Director, Defense Research and Development Organisation India, , Key Speakers Prof. M. A. Pathan, Ex-Chairman, Department of Mathematics, Aligarh Muslim University, visiting scientist at Mathematical Science Peechi Kerala,  Dr. Om Pal Singh, Deputy Proctor, University of Delhi and former head, Department of Operational research, Delhi University, Prof. D. C. Gokhroo, Former President, Rajasthan Ganita Parishad & council member of Indian Mathematical Society.

The Chief guest, Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh, Joint Director, Defense Research and Development Organization,  India thanked the organizing committee and gave an insight about the trends in mathematics, its uses and applications in various fields and branches of engineering and described the role of mathematics in our day-to-day lives. He said that the mathematics is the root of all subjects; there is a vast opening for the Mathematicians as they can choose certain ordinary consumables, test them and help curb the adulteration that is prevalent in the society to-day.
