The Independence was celebrated in Mewar University with great zeal and enthusiasm. The chief guest for the occasion was Shri Govind Ji Gadiya ( Secretary ,MES) and Guest of honor was Shri R. K. Gadiya ji( Member BOM).
The chief guest and guest of honor were welcomed by Prof. R.K.Paliwal( Dean, Basic Science). Then Security officers gave the guard of honor which was followed by an inspection of Platoon by the chief guest. Then the flag hosting ceremony took place. The chief guest hosted the flag. Everybody gave tribute to our national heroes who had sacrificed their lives for our independence by saluting the national tricolor along with the national anthem. Then march-past was done by the university security officers. The timing and synchronization was at its best.
After that our chief guest addressed with a short speech on Independence Day, as we all know that every year since 1947, 15th august is a memorable day for all of us. He emphasized that we all should enhance our skills and uses our knowledge to start new constitution and become a job provider not just a job seeker. His main idea was that entrepreneurship should be given equal importance.
After that cultural program was started, with some shyari from Afjal Choudhary and Roshan. On this occasion young students from our university made the day memorable by giving a great performance on patriotic songs and poems. The program started with a dance by Ambika and group on “Desh Rangilla” song. It was followed by group song “MAA TUJHE SALAM” presented by Ashwani Kumar and group. After that a great poem was presented by Mechanical diploma student Kamlesh kumar, The impact of the poem was so intense that even our chief guest also expressed his warm admiration for the student with a garland. Then comes another group dance performed by Sanjay and group. The last program was a duet song “ Sandeshe Aate Hai” by Prem Pritam and Bawan Paswan. It was an epic performance. Both of them sang so well and with a proper feel of the song. Everyone was very emotional at the end of their performance. After that the chief guest distributed sweets to the students.
