Chittorgarh:A two day National Conference was organized by the Physics Department of Mewar University on “Materials Science”. The National Conference began on October 17, 2014 at 10.00 AM in Maharana Pratap Seminar Hall, Mewar University, Chittorgarh with the traditional ritual of garlanding Maa Saraswati by distinguished guests to invoke her blessing.
The chief guest of the Conference Prof. B.L. Ahuja, Department of Physics, MLSU, Udaipur was felicitated by Dr. R.K. Paliwal, Dean, Basic Sciences, Mewar University. The Key Note Speaker Prof. P.K. Bhatnagar, UGC-BSR Fellow, New Delhi was felicitated by the Deputy Dean, Basic Sciences, Mewar University.
Thereafter, the “Abstract Book”, which contained the details of presentations to be made, was unveiled by the all the distinguished invitees.
Prof. R.K. Paliwal, in his welcome note,elaborated on the real theme of the Conference. The Co-Convener, NCMS , threw light on the need of new research for the progress of mankind.
On the first day of National Conference on Materials Science, which was inaugurated by Prof. B.L. Ahuja, the focus was on the quality and level of research in higher education. The key Note Speaker for National Conference included Prof. P. K. Bhatnagar, UGC-BSR Fellow, New Delhi, Prof. P.N. Gajjar, Department of Physics, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, Prof. N. Laxmi , Department of Physics, MLSU, Udaipur. Prof. P.K. Bhatanagar shared with the audience his insights into Semiconductor and Nano Technology. Prof. P.N. Gajjar explained the theory of “Heat Transport Nanostructures” in the present context.
Dr. Gulzar Ahmed , Organizing Secretary, NCMS-2014 gave the details of Registration, Poster Presentation, Oral Presentationand other details of the Conference. There were 28 Registrations, 17 Poster Presentations and 15 talks.
