MU celebrates 68th Independence Day with patriotic fervor

Mewar University celebrated nation’s 68th Independence Day with traditional fervor and gaiety in which its students drawn from all corners of India took active part. The occasion was marked by the presence of Chief Guests Shri Govind Lal Ji Gadiya and Shri R.K. Gadiya.

The celebration began, as the national flag was unfurled by Shri Govind Lal Ji Gadiya, Secretary, Mewar Educational Society (MES). All the higher authorities including Dean, OSD, Directors, Deputy Dean and Chief Proctor were present on the occasion. Unfurling of the national flag was followed by singing of national anthem. The march past by SIS guards and students from different states reflected our nation's unity in diversity. A group song from Chemical Dept “Hai Preet Jahan Ki Reet Sada” filled the air with patriotism, and it was followed by a speech of a student.

Shri Govind Lal Ji Gadiya laid emphasis on the significance of having a nationalistic spirit among students who will shape the future of India. He said technology is the driving force today and we cannot afford to be negligent about technical education and research.

The celebration ended with distribution of sweets among students and faculty members.
