As we all know that drone operations are rapidly expanding in various sectors with each sector having its specific requirements. Drone pilots are in demand in sectors like Defense, surveillance, surveying, cinematography, geo-sensing, construction, mining, real estate, agriculture, transportation, energy, and telecommunications.
Mewar University has setup a “Centre of Drone Excellence” in early 2022, in collaboration with Aviakul Private Limited aimed at research, education, and practical measures to address challenges and advancement of unmanned aerial vehicles. The main objective of this center is to help students equip with the latest digital skills required in drone technology and arm them with emerging digital skills before they enter the competitive workforce.
At Mewar University, we build an ecosystem with world class instructors where we prepare the student with drone regulations, drone hardware/software internals, drone flying simulations, field drone flying exercises, drone pilot and operations training, drone data processing and analysis, drone designing and manufacturing, and drone testing and repair
We are happy to announce the successful completion of our First Batch of Drone Technology. The ‘Center of Drone Excellence’ at Mewar University had organized a 5- days ‘Drone Technician Workshop’ from 22nd November- 27th November 2022 this year, where this course served as a common platform of interest for students and distinguished Professors from different domains.
This first batch of our university served as the foundation for the upcoming ventures that we have planned in coming future. Soon we will announce the second batch which will be the pillar to this foundation and will give a deep insight to the participant of the real DRONE WORLD! It will consist of Advanced course on Drone technologies specific to applications such as Agricultural sector, civil and mining, surveying, geo-mapping, etc. Also, a 2-week technician course related to fixed wing UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) shall also be delivered.
Our university will soon inaugurate the ‘REMOTE PILOT TRAINING ORGANIZATION (R.P.T.O.)- Approved by DGCA, Ministry of Civil Aviation’ under the Center of Drone Excellence, where the courses related to flying the unmanned aerial vehicle will be delivered and after completing the course the participant shall get the DGCA license to fly the UAV’s. It will be a great breakthrough for the aspirants who wish to enter in any commercial activity related to flying drones.
