The Department of Civil Engineering was established to provide and develop a sound theoretical and practical knowledge in the analysis and design of buildings, infrastructures, etc. The department will nurture young minds to produce bright Civil Engineers as the University is located in areas where many industries and plants are located which requires Civil engineers, viz, as the expansion of highways from 2 to 4 lane and 4-6 lane is under process in Rajasthan and as a whole all over the country, bridges and under bridges are in project, secondly, reformation of canals is been established to avoid the loss of water which also requires Civil engineers and in the same way with the development of urbanization, colonization increases which eventually leads to the employability.
The department has expertise in almost the entire spectrum of Civil Engineering, offering Higher Degree programs in Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water resources Engineering and Environmental Engineering.
